CHILDREN’S BOOKSELLERS ON STAGE
International Children’s Booksellers Conference
Organized by the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, in cooperation with ALIR – Italian Association of Independent Children’s Booksellers, the Conference aims at being the place for sharing ideas, knowledge, experiences, challenges and best practices, by joining in a global network of booksellers – a crucial segment of the children’s book market.
Independent bookstores and children’s departments of chain bookstores are increasing their presence in both big cities and small and medium-sized towns. Exchanging knowledge and experiences expands horizons and gives birth to new ideas.
The first edition of the Conference was held in 2018 and saw a wide participation of European booksellers. Given the great reception of this event, the Bologna Children’s Book Fair decided to open the upcoming edition to booksellers from all over the world.
What can you expect at the Children’s Booksellers on Stage?
Networking, inspiring talks and panels with the most creative people and highly qualified professionals, who have developed fruitful experiences in selling, writing, illustrating and publishing ̶ as well as in promoting reading and training in schools, organizing festivals and launching campaigns addressed to the public audience.
An inspiring venue
Children’s Booksellers on Stage will take place within the framework of the 56th edition of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair which is the leading professional event for children’s books and content.
